In 2021 I opened up The Stretch Specialist. My goal then and now is to make people as flexible as they want to be. As the business grew, many people felt fantastic relief from pain, enjoyed their improved flexibility in day to day life and some were getting nowhere.
Diving deeper into the human body, I discovered trigger points where limiting peoples ability to stretch.
Therefore, I completed my remedial massage diploma to ensure I was qualified to help people with trigger point release when needed. This method of treatment has been very beneficial to many people.
If you have experienced trigger point release treatment you would be aware it can be quite uncomfortable to receive. Recently, I had my eyes opened to dry needling which claimed to be beneficial for removing trigger points while being more comfortable for clients.
My previous personal experience had been quite negative so I decided to go become educated on the why and learn dry needling techniques for myself to see if could be of use for my clients.
After successfully completing an intense 3 day course, I am now fully qualified. The science and effectiveness of dry needling can’t be denied. Not only is it well researched, the results speak for themselves.
Does this mean I am a therapist that only uses dry needling now? Absolutely NOT. This is just an add on to my services that can help you achieve your movement goals.
Some common conditions and issues dry needling is very beneficial for include:
- Lower back tightness and restrictions
- Tennis and Golfers elbow
- Hip and shoulder bursitis
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Headaches
- Knee pain and restrictions
